Speaker Bio

Kathleen (Katie) Taylor is one of Canada’s most distinguished business executives and governance leaders. She currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), following a successful tenure as Chair of the SickKids Foundation. A pivotal figure in the organization’s growth, she co chaired the SickKids VS Capital Campaign, which raised nearly $1.7 billion to support the construction of a new hospital. In parallel with her healthcare leadership, she is deeply engaged in Canada’s innovation ecosystem, with board and advisory roles spanning artificial intelligence, robotics, and venture capital, including work with Everyday Robots, Gettab, NuEnergy AI, the Vector Institute, and Real Ventures.

Beyond her leadership in healthcare philanthropy, Ms. Taylor is the Chair of Altas Partners and Vice-Chair of the Adecco Group. Her extensive governance portfolio includes serving as a director for Air Canada and Mattamy Asset Management, and she is the former Chair of the Royal Bank of Canada. Previously, she served as the President and CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

A Member of the Order of Canada, Ms. Taylor is the Chancellor of York University and a Founding Visionary of The Prosperity Project. Her leadership has been recognized with numerous accolades, including induction into the Canadian Marketing Hall of Legends and the WXN Most Powerful Women Hall of Fame.
